Message from the President and CEO

Kowa Emori, established in 1906, has been contributing to social development over 100 years. We have continued our efforts in the eras of changes resulting from diversity in politics, economy and lifestyle, confrontation of values and technological innovations. Without the influence by the trends of the times, we have challenged new business and pursued higher corporate value, while always sharing the values with our stakeholders such as customers, shareholders, employees and local communities.

Taking the 120th anniversary of establishment as a milestone, Kowa Emori is taking a further step to create a new history. Based on the corporate culture fostered so far, we are developing our organization to be more capable of flexibly and powerfully taking on challenges even in times of growing uncertainty. As part of it, we have formulated a new vision visual replacing “Emori Tree” which has been a symbol of our business activities, in order to share our future vision with our stakeholders. Depicting four kinds of stakeholders mentioned in Kowa Emori Charter such as customers, shareholders, employees and local communities, as overlapped circles, this vision visual represents sustainability, flexibility and circulation by gradation and endless lines. It is “Emori Clover” which embodies our concept “Customers first, happiness for all”.

There are more business opportunities everywhere in a time of great change. To find those opportunities, we should not be stuck in the past. To lead the business to success, we should not prioritize only our own benefits. This is because corporations are not isolated from the society. We purpose to provide all stakeholders with benefits from our business and value altruism (unselfishness spirit) to give back gained profits to the society. From now on, focusing on carbon neutrality as one of our management priorities, we will further enhance our activity in the “health and environment” fields promoted by Kowa Group, and will continue to deliver value to society through creation of innovative businesses to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the entire supply chain, looking ahead to the next century.
